There are few things more precious than good friends, good food and a spirit of celebration. Last weekend, I got to enjoy just that at a dear friend's baby "sprinkle" for her soon-to-arrive baby boy #2. I must have had her celebrations on my mind because I realized I had worn a baby blue chambray shirt and baby blue nails to match! (Even my new Jordans have baby blue on them!)
I recently realized how wonderful dresses are in the summer. You can throw one on without much thought and you have an outfit! I recently acquired this dress at H&M. (You will never guess how much I found it for. $7!) I love the floral print and the fit and it has quickly become a staple in my wardrobe - the type of dress I can wear on its own, with a jacket, a cardigan or even a sweater. It will definitely transition well into fall/winter with a pair of tights and maybe a leather jacket.
Last Thursday night, Y & I decided to head to a local park to go for a walk after he came home from work. We discovered there was a food truck rally being held at that very park so we put the walk on hold (for just a little while) while we enjoyed some delicious food truck fare. It's a glorious thing: food trucks with their various designs and colors, lined up in single file, calling out to you to come and pay a visit and discover the many treasures they hold.
This tank top may be my favorite article of clothing currently. I wear it more often than I would care to admit. Its soft fabric and comfy fit make it perfect for hot summer days and I love it all the more because I found it for $5! Steal!)The loose tank and drawstring pants were perfect for indulging myself. I had two lobster rolls. Yes, two. And I have no regrets.
A belated OOTD from my weekend in NYC. It was a relatively warm day but I was glad for the extra layer because the wind picked up midday. I love this anorak. It's the perfect color, shape and I love the gold details. (And it doesn't hurt that I found it at F21 for $30. A steal!)
This outfit is comfortable and casual, perfect for a productive day of exploration in the city.
I wouldn't describe my style to be particularly bold in any way. I love my neutrals and classic pieces: a trench coat, a striped shirt, black pants, a good pair of jeans. But when I saw these shoes, I couldn't help but snatch them up (especially because they were on major clearance! Thank you, DSW.)
The pumps add that punch of color even when worn with a simple outfit: a chambray shirt and my favorite black pants that I discovered in Korea, thanks to my cousins.
Living in the northeast, the weather can be quite unpredictable. So when summer came to visit for the weekend, the husband & I decided to embrace the 82 degree weather and went to a park for a walk.
It was the first time my husband snapped some photos of my OOTD aka "outfit of the day". To be honest, at first, I felt a bit awkward, reminiscent of when we took our engagement photos. But quickly, I realized there was no need to feel this way, especially after seeing my vision being executed in his photographs. I have always trusted his "eye" for things since he's in the "arts" as an architect and it makes it especially exciting to start this "blogging" journey together.
